Ragan Wins Aaron’s 312

David Ragan passed Ryan Newman a few hundred feet from the start-finish line to win the Nationwide Series Aaron’s 312 from Talladega Superspeedway.

On the final lap, Newman led with a push from Dale Earnhardt Jr. Coming off turn 4, Jr peeked out to the outside. Newman went to block, and made some minor contact, killing Jr’s momentum. Ragan, with a push from Joey Logano, squeezed between Jr and Tony Raines and came up along side of Newman. The two made hard contact, but Ragan was able to keep his momentum and win the race.

Jason Leffler, Jason Keller, Scott Lagasse Jr, Brad Keselowski, and Kyle Busch finished sixth through 10th.

Biffle Wins Bashas’ Supermarkets 200

Greg Biffle used pit strategy and a little luck to win Friday night’s Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 Nationwide Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.

Biffle stayed out during the last caution, and used a series of late cautions to hold off those who were on fresher tires.

The victory is owner Jack Roush’s 100th Nationwide Series victory.

Jason Leffler, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top 5.

David Ragan, Brendan Gaughan, Justin Allgaier, Mike Bliss, and Kyle Busch finished sixth through 10th, respectively.

Notables: Steve Wallace (12th), Jeff Burton (20th), Carl Edwards (33rd), and Michael Waltrip (4oth).

Give a call to Keselowski who finished third for his third consecutive week.

Edwards led 79 laps but had engine trouble — he broke a valve spring — and ended up finishing 33rd.

Busch had a tire problem that put him two laps down, but he rallied to finish 10th. With his top 10, Busch took over the points lead from Edwards.

Logano Wins Pepsi 300

Joey Logano passed his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch with nine to go and held him and Brad Keselowski off to win the Nationwide Series’ Pepsi 300 at Nashville Speedway. The victory is his second in the series.

Top 5: Logano, Busch, Keselowski, Kelly Bires, and Carl Edwards.

Jason Leffler, David Ragan, Mike Bliss, Steve Wallace, and Scott Lagasse Jr finished sixth through 10th.

Notables: Michael Waltrip (16th), Brendan Gaughan (17th), Dennis Setzer (20th), Scott Wimmer (28th), and Joe Nemecheck (34th).

With nine laps to go Joe Nemecheck was involved in a wreck and went for a wild ride.

Busch Dominates O’Reilly 300

Kyle Busch won the O’Reilly 300 in dominating fashion, winning his third race in a row at Texas Motor Speedway.

Top 5: Busch, Tony Stewart, Brad Keselowski, David Ragan, and Paul Menard.

Matt Kenseth, Mike Bliss, Jeff Burton, David Reutimann, and Justin Allgaier finished sixth through 10th, respectively.

Busch On Nationwide Pole At Texas

Kyle Busch won the pole for Saturday’s O’Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway, with a time of 28.683, 0.030 faster than Matt Kenseth.

Top 5 starters: Busch, Kenseth, Paul Menard, David Ragan, and Jeff Burton.

Carl Edwards, Terry Cook, Tony Stewart, and Dale Earnhardt Jr will roll off sixth through 10th, respectively.

Notables: Joey Logano (11th), Justin Allgaier (12th), Michael Waltrip (19th), David Reutimann (20th), Dennis Setzer (22nd), Steve Wallace (30th), David Green (32nd), Kenny Wallace (38th), Brad Keselowski (42nd).

Keselowski wrecked on his warmup lap, and did not make an attempt. His starting position was determined by points.
