It appears that NASCAR will not penalize Dale Earnhardt Jr or Casey Mears for the incident after Saturday’s Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. Both were put on probation for six races.
Scene Daily reported that neither driver was called to the NASCAR hauler following the incident, which usually is an indication that no penalties are forthcoming.
Mike Mulhern, however, reported that a penalty would likely be coming. It appears that is not the case.
