FOXSports is reporting that Caterpillar will become the primary sponsor of the Richard Childress Racing’s No. 31 car, driven by Jeff Burton in 2009.
As part of an agreement AT&T reached with NASCAR last year, when AT&T sought to put its logos on the No. 31 car, AT&T agreed to leave the sport following this season.
An announcement is expected today.
No word on what this means for the No. 22 driven by Dave Blaney.
